Hi there Race Fans and Fellow Addicts,
The selection for the end of October, the day before Halloween, is a picture
of "Dago Red" on the ramp early Saturday morning. It was during the first of
two days of "Dawn Patrols" I made this year. Skip was running the spark plugs
in that had been changed the evening before. A little while later, Skip took
the aircraft up and had a little impromptu air show right over the Air Race
Addict camp. He did a barrel roll or two and then came back to the field for
a high speed pass. The weather was beautiful, clear and cool. A great day for
Air Racing. Brad Haskin was with me and giving me the tour, which is a nice
way to be introduced to the early morning routine. I will be doing a page that
will highlight just the photos I took of Dago and Voodoo on Saturday and Sunday
mornings.


I got several nice pictures of Skip and Dago Red, but this is the first one I am
highlighting. It just shows some of the preparation that goes into these Racing
thoroughbreds. So, with that, enjoy the photo and check back next week for my
next Favorite Photo.
